Feast for the Eyes and Taste Buds at Savoy
The Savoy restaurant celebrates its 75th anniversary year by combining design and food. To recognize Helsinki's World Design Capital year Savoy commissioned a new crockery set and created a special anniversary menu as part of the “Designing eating” project.
Finnish Winter in Landscape Painting
On Crusted Snow, the current exhibition at Gallen-Kallela Museum, presents winter landscapes painted by the Finnish national artist Akseli Gallen-Kallela.
Helsinki is the World Design Capital in 2012
Helsinki started its year as World Design Capital on January 1st. The versatile programme consists of ca 300 projects and events, including numerous public occasions and exhibitions that will take place in and also outside museums and galleries.
